Discography

Jason Brown's first CD was released as a demo of church music at age 16, which sold in churches all over Southern California. His next Cd released in November 2003, titled "Sing & Play" with 10 gospel jazz songs, mostly originals, received airplay on three local gospel radio stations, selling in four local Christian book stores, selling over 2000 copies to date. His newest CD, "Jason Brown, All Around Town" a completely original jazz/R&B CD with 13 songs will release July/Aug of this year. It is an amazing mixture of moving instrumentals and "love" vocals!

Bio

This band is an unusual eclectic mix of musicians from various genres. The drummer and percussionist have played with a Salsa band, the keyboardist with various bands and genres and the bass player who is also a singer, has vast experience with jazz, R&B and old time pop.

Jason Brown's influence began at age 13 when his father died and his mom captured his attention with an old saxophone which he learned to play on his own. He played in churches for many years, recording his first CD at age 16, having never had a music lesson, nor knowing how to read notes! He played in local clubs in San Diego beginning three years ago with Calvin Romance & Quiet Storm (jazz), Earl Thomas (blues), opening for Everette Harp, Paul Taylor, Pamela Williams, Bruce Bruce (BET) and was the first African American to play the National Anthem at the new Petco Park for a Padre baseball game! The Jason Brown Band was just formed a little over six months, performing at the Del Mar Fair in June!
