Originally from Winder, Jason Childs recently moved to Nashville under the management of Sanctuary ( Zz Top, Fleetwood Mac, Jo Dee Mesina, Billy Ray Cyrus). Jason debuted at The Crimson Moon Café as an opener for Caroline Aiken, and later returned to open for Randall Bramblett. Both times he wowed the audience with his incredible vocals, 'old soul' songwriting, and 'prodigy' talent on piano and guitar. Joining him will be several of his jamming friends - most Dahlonega locals who went to school with Jason at North Georgia College. Bio

Born in the hills of north Georgia, Jason Childs has always been a creative and imaginative spirit with an ear for music. At age 12, after hearing Beethoven's "Moonlight" Sonata, Jason quickly began to teach himself to play the piano. For the first few years during this new-found musical passion, Jason became well-versed in the classical masters such as Mozart, Beethoven, Liszt and Chopin. It wasn't until high school when a friend played him the music of The Beatles that he fell in love with rock and roll and knew he was meant to be a musician.

Throughout high school, Jason constantly played guitar and sang along to his dad's classic rock albums. His favorite was The Allman Brothers. Jason can recall the first time he heard Duane Allman's licks. "I'd never heard anything like it. I knew that I wanted to play not just the guitar, but his style of blues guitar," says Jason. During this time, Jason also discovered his secret weapon, his voice. Bluesy, rootsy, and with balls-to-the-wall rasp, Jason realized he had something very special to share. He began feverishly honing his vocal and guitar skills and started his first band, Waterstone Band. As his voice became an instrument unto itself and people started to take notice of his rare gift, Jason's confidence grew.

In 2009 while Jason was in college, Grammy-award winning producers Elvis "BlacElvis" Williams and Harold Lilly, Jr. discovered a video that Jason had posted on Facebook of him performing a Ray Charles song. After hearing his undeniable voice, they contacted him, brought him to Los Angeles and signed him to their company, Spin Music Group. Taken under the wings of these amazing producers, Jason's creativity was nurtured and he began writing songs and recording in prestigious studios, things he had never previously experienced.

During this time, Jason signed with BMI who began to help promote him as an artist, and Sanctuary Artist Management came in to manage Jason's career.

In the summer of 2010, Jason formed a new band, the Jason Childs Band. He began playing shows in Atlanta at clubs such as Vinyl, Smith's Old Bar, Eddie's Attic, and 40-Watt Club in Athens. After gaining a steady following in his hometown, with a little support from his friends at BMI, Jason moved to Nashville to further pursue his career. There, he began collaborating with people such as Angelo Petraglia (Kings of Leon, Patty Griffin), Billy Burnette (Fleetwood Mac, John McVie), Jaren Johnston (American Bang, The Cadillac Black), and Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top.

Now with a new power trio, a honed-in sound and vision, and a renewed zeal and drive, Jason is about to unleash his music and one-of-a-kind voice on the world.
