Jason Dottley is a Top 20 Billboard recording artist, the star of the cult-favorite and internationally syndicated series Sordid Lives: The Series, and hes an accomplished theatre and touring producer.
Most recently, Dottley produced one of Los Angeles most glorified and award nominated new plays, Del Shores Yellow. After a 100-show run, the play is now closed as it transitions itself for whats next.
In March of 2010, Dottleys first single spent three months on the Billboard charts and peaked at #19 earning Jason his first Billboard Top 20 Record. It was appropriately titled Party Round the World a duet with Debby Holiday. His last single Hit Play! earned Jason another Top 30 Billboard hit and 9 weeks on the charts at the end of 2010 and through the beginning of 2011.
Dottleys record company JD3 Records produced (and he starred in) the national tour of A Sordid Affair with Rue McClanahan, Caroline Rhea, Leslie Jordan and more of his Sordid Lives cast mates in 2009-2010/11. He also produced Del Shores one-man national tour Del Shores: My Sordid Life in over 30 cities and the DVD of the show which was filmed in January 2011.
In 2007, Dottley spent the summer readying, and the Fall filming his first TV series as a lead, a regular! Sordid Lives: The Series was aired in over 17 countries to rave reception. Its achieved cult status, and stars legendary icon Rue McClanahan, superstar Olivia Newton-John, Caroline Rhea, Leslie Jordan, Beth Grant and even Margaret Cho. He filmed 12 episodes. As of February 2011, two Sordid Lives movies are rumored to be being filmed this year.
In 2006, Dottley launched revivals of Shores Sordid Lives, Southern Baptist Sissies, and Trailer Trash Housewife for which he was nominated for Best Production at the Ovation Awards. Later in 2006, he produced the national tours of Sordid Lives and Southern Baptist Sissies headlined by icon Delta Burke and Emmy-winner Leslie Jordan.
