Biography

At the early age of 6, Jason began his pursuit into the entertainment industry by plucking a string on a guitar for the first time. His love for music and entertainment grew rapidly, and for over 10 years now, he has been perfecting his passions as a diversely profound artist.

As a singer and songwriter, Jason is an accomplished recording artist. His first CD, titled "Answers", released in December of 2010, and his second project, titled "Until My Heart Stops Beating", in the summer of 2012. He has performed at multiple shows and concert venues. He has performed in many places, including Knoxville, Tennessee, Las Vegas, Nevada, and Atlanta, Georgia. He had a major opportunity to sing with his personally most inspirational band THIRD DAY on The Music Boat Cruise in 2010, and he opened for well-known band REVIVE at a concert in Tennessee. Briefly, Jason sang with TOBYMAC, another one of his favorite artists, at Camp Electric in Nashville, TN. Jason also taught songwriting to students at Creator's University during the summer camp program.

As an actor, Jason has been in several different entertainment projects. In the past year, he was featured in a performing arts showcase as an actor, where he performed a monologue for an audience. Then, Jason played as the leading male actor in Jillian O’s “Push Me” music video, which can be viewed on YouTube. Shortly after, he was asked to play Principal Peabody in the urban musical “Face The Music” by Brandin Jay in the Lupton Auditorium at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, Georgia. Jason can also briefly be found in the new hit reality TV show "Party at Tiffany's" on OWN as a Paparazzi actor.

As his career is blasting into action, he is still keeping his heart grounded in his ultimate inspirer, lover, savior, and friend- Jesus Christ.

Jason says, "God called me to begin my journey with music by giving me a love for playing the guitar. The fact that I could create music with my hands caused me to feel a need to play all the time. I was always searching to fill the void in my heart and because of the love of God, my life has been changed. Now, I always have a desire in me to write, create, and perform only to entertain people and glorify Jesus Christ. I thank God for the awesome opportunities he has provided for me and my career. I hope and pray that I will continue following His will so that in whatever God has planned for me, I will do my best to succeed. An overwhelming passion is stirring in my soul to spread the message of Jesus Christ throughout the world through my entertainment. I pray that He alone will be glorified in ALL that I do."

I'm Not Stupid

Verse I:
I got your letter in the mail last week.
I opened it up and started to read,
What you wrote to me,
But something stopped me.

Verse II:
‘Cause every single line was all about us.
The smileys, the hearts, the LOLs and such.
That was nice of you,
But hey, I know the truth.

Chorus:
All you wanna do is,
Lie to me,
You want me to be like Adam and Eve,
But no- I’m not stupid.
You are here to deceive,
And make me think your way is easy,
But I won’t be caught misbelieving.
No- I’m not stupid.

Verse III:
You tried to be nice in the way you wrote.
You chimed up a rhyme, told some jokes.
You can’t fool me,
You’re here to hurt me- obviously.

Verse IIII:
‘Cause you follow me around everywhere I go,
You eavesdrop nonstop in every scenario.
You think you’re here to rule,
But your power is miniscule.

Bridge:
Stop wasting my time try’n to pull me in reverse,
Spittin’ hate on my dreams while I’m poppin’ out the verse.
No, your tricks can’t handle me,
Your lies don’t label me.
You’re never gonna stop me from being who I’m gonna be.
Try’n to break down my life,
Try’n to trick me with your lies,
But I know deep down inside,
Love’s gonna pull me out tonight.
Yeah, I gotta get it right.
I gotta fight the good fight.
Till my heart stops beating,
Keep my eyes on the grand prize.

Verse I:
I got your letter in the mail last week.
I opened it up and started to read,
What you wrote to me,
But something stopped me.

Isn’t that funny?

Verse I:
Look at your life,
What do you see?
Are you living your life the way you should be?
Look at your life,
Do you believe?
Your life is still full of possibilities.

Verse II:
Look at your life,
Are you living your dreams?
Believe in yourself; these dreams are not fantasies.
Live your life,
Live your dreams,
Be the person God meant for you to be.

Chorus:
Find some time,
To give true meaning to your life.
Find a way,
Discover those treasures hidden inside.
Don’t give up hope,
Have faith in God’s amazing grace.
Believe in your Father,
Believe that Jesus saves.
Get out there and live your life.
Show the world that Jesus is alive.

Verse III:
You’re flying through time,
Can’t make up your mind.
There’s so much going on you won’t sleep tonight.
You try not to cry,
But something’s not right.
You wonder where your life’s gonna lead you this time.

(Chorus)

Bridge:
There’s so much more that you can live for,
Come on, come on,
Open that door.
God has greater plans for you.

(Chorus)

Verse I:
Father, Your love is like the lightning and the thunder.
It never fails to create marvelous wonders.
Your love has captured me, now I’m a believer.
So, all I wanna do is just get closer.

Verse II:
Savior, You lived, You died, You loved every sinner.
Your blood was shed so I could live forever.
You saved me from this merciless desert.
So, all I wanna do is just get closer.

Chorus:
Closer to Your heart,
Closer to Your heart,
I’m falling on my knees,
Falling apart.
Closer to Your heart,
Closer to Your heart.
Surrounded by Your love,
I can’t get enough.
Until my heart stops beating,
I’m never giving up.
Closer to Your heart,
Closer to Your heart.

Verse III:
Creator, You painted the perfect picture of the Universe.
Its beauty is more than I can measure.
But here on Earth I don’t get enough exposure.
So, all I wanna do is just get closer.

(Chorus)

Bridge:
Till my heart stops beating,
Till my body stops breathing,
Till the choir stops singing,
Till my Savior brings me home.

(Chorus)

Verse I
Do you remember all the soldiers,
Saying goodbye to their families.
Their lives were torn apart,
But love was in their hearts for this country.

Verse II
Do you remember all the people,
With their arms raised to the sky.
Reaching for new hope,
Our flag flying high.

Chorus
The eagle soars,
The flag flies,
Through the heart of every storm.
Every soldier fights,
Our nation survives,
Freedom is what we’re fighting for.
Liberty cries,
Americans die,
Oh, Love is behind every sacrifice.
But it’s gonna take us all to come together.
Live free or die,
Love forever.
No matter what it takes,
Even when we suffer,
Forever free in America.

Verse III
Do you remember all the wars we fought,
Fighting for equality.
Freedom is for everyone,
Declaring, “I have a dream!”

Verse IV
Do you remember when we came together,
Singing in one song,
The Star Spangled Banner,
Everybody sing along.

(Chorus)

Verse V
Do you remember every sacrifice,
Americans gave their lives.
God bless America, our freedom will survive.

(Chorus)

Show Me How To Love

Verse I
The moonlight has awakened me,
Tomorrow's coming but I can't sleep.
I feel alone here,
Hiding under the stars.

Verse II
Every day feels longer,
Every night flies by.
The clock ticks faster,
Time after time.
My life could be wasted if I stay this way.
My life could be wasted if I don't change.

Chorus
Show me how to lead,
Show me how to love.
There's only one chance to change the world,
And once is enough.
Show me how to lead,
Show me how to love.
There's only one chance to change the world,
And once is enough.
Show me how to love.

Verse III
I feel the passion running through my veins,
But I need courage to face the day.
I want to be fearless,
And reach for Your heart.

Verse IV
The music stops,
But I keep on dancing.
This mountain is high,
But I keep on climbing.
A mustard seed of faith can make this mountain move.
God's amazing grace will guide me through.

(Chorus)

Bridge
Show me how to love the ones I lead,
So I can lead them to Your love.
Show me how to love the ones You love.

(Chorus)

Not Of This World

Verse I
What is this air that I breathe?
What are these hands and these feet?
What is this blood rushing inside of me?

Verse II
What is this world that I see?
Is there anything that I should believe?
Surely this isn't all of me.

Pre-Chorus
What is hope, and what is faith?
What is passion, and what is grace?
I don't believe that these are earthly things.
What is love, and what is hate?
What is joy, and what is pain?
The Universe is proof of why we sing.

Chorus
We are not of this world,
We are here for a different purpose,
Our eyes are on the prize,
We're fighting the good fight.
Oh, we are not of this world,
We run this race,
We never surrender,
We're looking for a crown,
A crown that lasts forever.
Oh, we are not of this world,
We are not of this world.

Verse III
What is a dancing leaf in the wind?
What is a tear of rain in the sand?
I can see the perfect art of our Maker's hands.

Verse IV
And who is that man on the side of the road?
Look into his eyes, you can find his soul,
There's more to us than an unforeseen
coincidence.

(Pre-Chorus)
(Chorus)

Bridge
We live it,
We love it,
But we are not of it.
We're in it,
We're on it,
We certainly want it.
This is our world,
But we are not of it.

(Chorus)

Even When We Cry

This song was written on December 14, 2012 as a tribute to the innocent lives lost in the tragic Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. May God continue to bring peace and healing to the families of the children and teachers.

Verse I
It’s a painful reality,
Tears fill my eyes.
Such an unfair tragedy,
It could have been you and I.

Verse II
This heartache is hurting me,
I can’t find the words to say.
A child’s life is a masterpiece,
How could that be taken away?

Chorus I
Say a prayer for the world tonight.
Help us wipe away these raining tears,
When joy is hard to find.
Say a prayer for the world tonight.
Only God can help us love each other,
And overcome together,
Even when we cry.

Verse III
Sometimes I can’t believe it’s true,
All the madness in the world.
Sometimes it’s hard to watch the news,
And see the faces of boys and girls.

Verse IV
I can’t imagine how the families feel,
When their lives fall apart.
But there is One who will help you heal,
He will mend your broken hearts.

(Chorus)

Bridge
This world has failed us once again.
We are victims of an evil action.
But we know where all of those children live.
Through Jesus we can finally forgive.

Chorus II
Say a prayer for a child tonight.
Help us wipe away these raining tears,
When joy is hard to find.
Say a prayer for a child tonight.
Only God can help us love each other,
And overcome together,
Even when we cry.

Verse I
It’s just me and You,
Together in this room,
And I’m lying here,
Face down on the floor.

Verse II
I close my eyes,
And feel Your love inside,
Your spirit flows,
Deep within my bones.

Pre-Chorus
There’s a Peace that covers me,
That I don’t understand.
A wave of purity,
Cleans my filthy hands.

Chorus
This is the moment,
I’ve been waiting for.
You are the reason,
I can start all over.
This is the moment,
Your love whispers to me.
This is the moment,
I’ve been waiting for.

Verse III
You’re so intimate,
I confess my secrets,
I dedicate my life,
To Your embrace.

Verse IV
You have promised me,
To love me relentlessly,
You’ve offered me,
The greatest gift of all.

(Pre-Chorus)
(Chorus)

My hands held high.
Flood me with Your mercy,
An ocean wide.
