Music that says something to the listener. Folk-chamber pop instrumentation melded with jazz influenced harmonic structure and phrasing. Subtle, but ultimately demanding attention from the ear. A dreamy, melancholic statement of music, matched with lyrics that lean towards the subjective.

Biography

Currently, my main performance platform is a band called Mad Gregs. Most of my BMI catalog consists of songs released through Mad Gregs. I have performed and recorded with many bands ranging from very hardcore/spazz rock to the mellow stylings of chamber pop.
I attended CALARTS in LA,CA where I received my Master's Degree in Jazz Performance and Composition. Most of my music is influenced by Jazz, but in a subtle/harmonic sense and not a stylistic sense.
My intent with music is to explore and develop it, offering something new and worthwhile.

Lyrics

White Out

Written By: Jason Golday

Every shape I've taken to change in the mirror
Ends up being that same little boy from the park
What don't kill you only makes you so much stronger right?
I guess that makes me the strongest alive that I know
I'm gonna white out, every mistake I've made
I'm gonna white out you
I know things could be so much worse yeah and then some
and suffering is the relative pass time we share
What don't kill you only makes you so much stronger right?
I guess that makes us the strongest alive that we know
I'm gonna white out, every mistake I've made
But it will still be me
