Jason Hibler

BandPopSinger/Songwriter

This music is a type that is easy listening and, at times, could be an intense experience of my own person experiences. Throughout a show I will play about half covers and the other half originals. This acoustic set shows not only many guitar playing skills but also a wide vocal range.

Biography

I am 23 years old and I have been playing guitar since I was in 8th grade. However, I didn't begin singing and writing music untill I was a freshman in college in 2003. Every since I played my first gig at a competition called Mr Greek University, I have been hooked. For the last four years I have attended Western Illinois University and spent most of my time there studying and playing music. I graduated in May of 2007 with a degree of Bachelor of Science. In between my playing and my time at Western I have been setting plans for some time in the military. Through my summers I attended a place called Officer Candidates School (OCS) in Quantico, VA for the Marine Corps., and right now I am at a point in my life when I need to decide if I want to commit to the Marines for 4 years or decline the offer and stay in the civilian world. That is where music comes into play. Music may be the single thing that will keep me out of the military.
There are way too many influences musically to say them all, but some that have had a great influence on me are The Dave Matthews Band, Pink Floyd, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Led Zeppelin, Jack Johnson, The Who...
Basically right now I am playing out as much as I can to get something rolling so I can say "no" the military.

Lyrics

Blue and Gold

Written By: Jason Hibler

I'm Bleedin Blue and Gold
Don't let this house meet its 6 ft.
Underground hole
Live it, love it, and we'll make sure
We'll find the ones that should
Leave it

Hey, come in
Take a look around
And do you see anything that you like
If so, we would like to ask you
To come back tomorrow night

Dress up and try to look your best
First impressions set us
Out from the rest
Stone letters outside my front door
Remind us of the brothers
We have had before

I'm Bleedin Blue and Gold
Don't let this house meet its 6 ft.
Underground hole
Live it, love it, and we'll make sure
We'll find the ones that should
Leave it

I know this time your in it sucks
Doing every single thing we say
Is no fun
Get used to the ones you are with
Cause best friends may spawn
From these common relationships

I'm Bleedin Blue and Gold
Don't let this house meet its 6 ft.
Underground hole
Live it, love it, and we'll make sure
We'll find the ones that should
Leave it

I know your changin your times
Cause in your life you've got Something new
I know you want this place
To be fine
So, just put in some of your time

And I'm Bleedin Blue and Gold
Don't let this house meet its 6 ft.
Underground hole
Live it, love it, and we'll make sure
We'll find the ones that should
Leave it

The suns outside
Its a nice day
And grab all your friends
And maybe we could play
Volleyball on the side of the house
Beer, whiskey, and wine
We'll bring it all out

And we'll get drunk to
Blue and Gold
Live it, love it, I swear this will
Never get old
Fire up to those who put in their time
Cause in my heart I know
This house will never die

This Ones For You

Written By: Jason Hibler

Some times
In my life
Things don't always go
The way I'd like
But I know
I have you
To always be there and to show me what to do
But when I'm confused
I do tend to use
Not the best judgment that I should
But I can learn

And the rain just falls down
While the suns light drips away
Sometimes I feel like I can go on
No more
I leave myself at home
I leave me cell phone at home
I grab my bags and I get away
Into the night

Won't you come with me
Baby please...

Lately I've been thinking about you
And what comes to mind
Is what should we do
Go our separate ways
Well I don't wanna say that
Two years down the road
Who knows where we'll flow

Come sail with me
Down this sea of love....with me

You know that I do
I love everything about you
You know I will
I will always be there

So don't leave me
So soon
We've got so much to do
And in this I know we will understand

So don't leave me goin by myself
Don't leave me just runnin by myself
Don't leave me sleppin by myself
Don't leave lovin by myself
