Biography

Jason Hoffman was born and raised in Nashville, TN. Since he was given his first guitar at age 9 it was clear to him that his goal in life was to be a singer, songwriter and a musician. Jason grew up consumed in the music that has made Nashville, TN, Music City, what it is today.

Jason was inspired by greats including Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, Hank Sr., Dwight Yoakum, James Taylor and Jimi Hendrix. Jason Hoffman has managed to lend from their inspiration, yet create a style and sound all his own. His blend of traditional country and rock n roll music has been touted as truly unique, giving him his own unique âfinger printâ in the competitive country music genre.

Jason's career has spanned the gauntlet of the entertainment business. As an actor he has been in Movies with the likes of Tupac Shakur on â Above the Rimâ Tim Roth on"Little Odessa" and has worked with Ann Margaret on the set of "Sing Me the Blues Lina" and many country artists in the filming of "The Story of Dottie West".

Jason's band â"Hoffman" has opened for the likes of Tanya Tucker, Black Hawk, Ricochet, Shenandoah, and Marty Raybon , just to name a few. You may catch a performance of his band "Hoffman" at familiar Nashville, TN honky tonks such as Tootsie's Orchid Lounge, The Wheel, The Wild Horse, Cadillac Ranch and Fuel 2nd ave and is frequently a featured artist on Billy Block's Western Beat.

Hoffman's performance brings high energy; melodic melodies, great country and rock n roll guitar riffs and a songwriting style that is truly one of a kind. Currently in production is Hoffman's first album. He is working with producer D.Scott Miller and playing with the likes of Steve Gorman of The Black Crowes and Kenny Vaughn of Marty Stuart. Jason Hoffman is proof that country music rocks!
