"Singer/Songwriter Please!"

...a gifted musician and songwriter. - Anthony Bowman - LEO

"The Columbus Dispatch"

...His music has a smoky, secretive tone that contrasts with his lyrics' confessions. His voice is an expressive instrument just raw enough to show wear and sweet enough to make it appealing... - Aaron Beck

"Catch Quicksall This Fall"

"His premier CD, “A Touch Broken” is a superb collection of songs dealing with self-reflection and relationships gone wrong. From the flowing “Cool and Graceful” to the moving “Never be Another,” each song stands on it own merit." - Amy McGee

"Streaming debut features pleasing blend of musical genres"

... Jason Quicksall's debut album, "A Touch Broken"...sets the mood for something fresh, yet familiar - and then comes full circle with a luscious ballad to which to drive home....

A soulful stream resonates throughout the album, with vocals similar to rising star Amos Lee - especially in the foot-tapping serenade of "Never Be Another."

The addition of a haphazard piano in the background of "Suffer Through the Silence" adds light n'edgy blues. "Save Your Lies," the fifth track, is the hook that has been stuck in my head all week. "Cause trust and lust has left from what was once too much smoke and screwing, now I'm blue," are not the lyrics to expect from a completely upbeat tune....

...Quicksall has the all-American folk-blues-rock triple threat that just might take him somewhere.

- Ellie Behling - Athens Post

Independent release A Touch Broken set for distribution in November 2005, getting radio play on the local NPR station, WCBE.

Feeling a bit camera shy

A passionate performer and songwriter with a voice to match, Jason floats through the genres of pop, jazz, country and soul with ease. His songs have a fragile lyrical soul with undeniable melodic hooks; Jason maintains soulfulness to his art that most can only strive for. Vocally, Jason's presence is impressive, with a range of styles that continues to turn heads. His voice is perhaps most impressive in its understated moments as Jason's vocal attention to nuance shines.

With influences ranging from classic artists from Van Morrison, Leonard Cohen, The Beatles, through modern performers such as Martin Sexton, Ryan Adams, Aimee Mann and Wilco.

A true live performer, Jason has a love for the road and keeps a constant tour schedule. He's shared the stage with such acts as Tim Easton, Frank Morey, James McMurtry, Robinella, Two Cow Garage and members of Howling Maggie, Watershed, Ekoostik Hookah and the Clumsy Lovers.
