Movie Girl

Written By: jason ryan

MOVIE GIRL

I look into the mirror
The same man looks back at me
It’s hard to look him in the eyes sometimes
Something he holds there deep inside
A pain he bares and tries to hide
He puts on another face to show the world

He thinks back to a time he knew
To a lasting memory
Holding the girl he thought he knew
And thought would never leave

With her eyes so bright and beautiful
A smile to drive you wild
A face so filled with beauty
It’s glowing like a diamond
Like a face you’d see in the movies
Far too good to be real
He cried the night he lost his little Movie Girl

And that man there in the mirror
I know that he still follows me
And reminds me of the days he used to know
Caught up in romancing
When two young hearts in love were dancing
But one heart fell and broke the chain of love

What made her fall he’d like to know?
What made her drive away?
On that dark and stormy night
He can see her face

With her eyes so bright and beautiful
A smile to drive you wild
A face so filled with beauty
glowing like a diamond
Like a face you’d see in the movies
Far too good to be real
He cried the night he lost his little Movie Girl
MOVIE GIRL page 2

( lead break )

Now he hasn’t seen her for many years
Memories start to fade away
But whenever there’s a stormy night
He can’t forget her face

With her eyes so bright and beautiful
A smile to drive you wild
A face so filled with beauty
Glowing like a diamond
Like a face you’d see in the movies
Far too good to be real
He cried the night he lost his little Movie Girl

With her eyes so bright and beautiful
A smile to drive you wild
A face so filled with beauty
It’s glowing like a diamond
Like a face you’d see in the movies
Far too good to be real
He cried the night he lost his little Movie Girl

He cried the night he lost his little Movie Girl

I cried the night I lost my little Movie Girl

Carry The Flame

CARRY THE FLAME

Life can be a long and lonely highway
I’ve been down this road for many years
I lost myself I had to learn the hard way
I felt the heartache and cried too many tears
When your down and out and you’re on an all time low
You’ve got to roll the dice to have another go

Light the fire to carry on
To play the game you’ve got to be strong
If you wanna carry the flame
A long hard race like a marathon
But your worn out tyres keep rolling along
Light the torch and carry the flame

I can feel the days moving faster
And time is getting shorter every year
The journey I ride seems to move so slowly
I’m stuck in first can’t find second gear
I know there’ll be some windy roads
You gotta stay on the wheel And have a go

Light the fire to carry on
To play the game you’ve got to be strong
If you wanna carry the flame
A long hard race like a marathon
But your worn out tyres keep rolling along
Light the torch and carry the flame

Keep your eyes on the road and persevere
When you find your way the road will disappear

(lead break)

Light the fire to carry on
To play the game you’ve got to be strong
If you wanna carry the flame
A long hard race like a marathon
But your worn out tyres keep rolling along
Light the torch and carry the flame

A long hard race like a marathon
But your worn out tyres keep rolling along
Light the torch and carry the flame

Don’t you know I want to carry the flame

Life can be a long and lonely highway

Live On An Island

Written By: jason ryan

LIVE ON AN ISLAND

All day talkin’ on the mobile phone
It keeps ringin’ won’t leave me alone
I’m queued up at a checkout waitin’ in a grocery store
Stuck in traffic on the way to work
This same routine is drivin’ me bizerk
Everybody is so busy no time for anyone anymore

I won’t to leave everything and live on an Island
Where paradise grows where nobody knows
Where I will be
I want to leave everything and live on an Island
The sand and the sea this place is for me
I want to be free

Cement and steel everywhere
Clouds of smog that fill the air
This rapid rate of progression makes a strong economy
Everybody’s slavin’ tryna make a dime
Cause time is money and money is time
We live in a too materialistic greedy society

I won’t to leave everything and live on an Island
Where paradise grows where nobody knows
Where I will be
I want to leave everything and live on an Island
The sand and the sea this place is for me
I want to be free

Get away and breathe some clean fresh air
I want to live happy don’t want to be a millionaire
More time together to raise a family
You don’t have to be too clever to live simplicity

Let’s get away

( chorus repeated )

( Narration)

No bosses over me Do you wanna come with me?
To the Island we will flee Where our minds will be so free
Near a clear blue sea

Where we can be alone No more answering the phone
Where or names will not be known And time is all our own
Where we can feel at home

Oh I hope there is a land So full of golden sand
Forever in your hand living in this wonderland
Our little Island

Oh come with me now Oh come with me now ( repeat)
I want to leave now I want to leave now

let’s get out of this routine No cars no gasoline
Live together as a team We’ll increase our self-esteem
In this Island dream

On a secluded beach somewhere We’ll breathe some clean fresh air
More time we’ll have to spare All this beauty we can share
I wanna take you there

In this untouched wilderness We’ll get away from all progress
No people to impress No headaches no more stress
It’s time to S.O.S
