Bio

Jason has been playing the guitar and singing for several years. Over the past year he has been working on his solo career. Jason has written many songs and has recorded several of them acoustically at Insea Sound Shop in Nelsonville, Ohio.

When Jason is asked about his music he simply states "If I can make one person smile, it's all worth it." He feels music is one way he can bring happiness into peoples lives and gives him a way to give back to those who have given to him. Jason is very serious about his music, "My guitar lives within an arms reach of my bed... sometimes music pops into my head while I'm sleeping and I've just got to play it!"

Jason has been recording an acoustic album of his original works at Insea Sound Shop in Nelsonville, Ohio. He plans to release this album in late 2009. Currently Jason is not signed with a label and is considered an Indie Artist.

I asked Jason why he loved country music so much and his answer was "I can relate to it, I feel it." He writes from lifes experiences and from how he feels about certain topics. His song "Only God Judges Me" was written about a man who made some choices and was being judged by man about it... Jason says "there's only one judge we need to worry about and that's what the song is about." All of his songs are this way, "Can't Let You Go" was written with his wife in mind and how he feels about her. He says "everyone should be able to tell the one they love just how strongly they feel about them".

Jason is pushing forward in his career with much determination and enthusiasm. He loves to be in front of a crowd and enjoys hearing the reaction of the crowd. Jason practices almost all the time and loves to perform. His influences include Johnny Cash, George Strait, Trace Adkins, Toby Keith, Travis Tritt, George Jones, Porter Wagner, Hank Williams Jr & Sr and many others.

"Music is my life, my wife says it's my first love and she's second" he says and chuckles. Jason has a lot of passion for his music and it shows when he's performing, or practicing...

Jason has played may benefits for good causes such as cancer, MS, autism, home losses and other such causes. His most recent benefit was for a family who had a member that was losing his battle wtih cancer. The benefit was scheduled so that the gentleman could attend but sadly he passed a week before the benefit. Any tips Jason receives during a benefit go back to the cause. He feels that "it's one small way I can give back to the community and help out someone who needs it... most of these folks have lost loved ones or all their belongings and those things can be heartbreaking. The world needs a little more love in it anyway, and this is one way to help that happen."

Jason dreams of being able to share his music with the armed forces as he feels strongly about what they do for us and how much they give. "Its just something I can do to show my appreciation..."
