ARTIST’S STORY
Jason was born in Yuba City, California in 1980. He listened to Georges Winston, Mozart and Chopin even before he was born.When he was 2 he started putting together cords and structuring music on a dilapidated upright that his mother had bought him.Since then music has always filled Jason’s life though he never studied music theory or read music until very recently.
In 1984 he gave his first solo piano recital in a local school of piano . Throughout his childhood and early youth he has continually played his music to select as well as large audiences.
From the age of 14 Jason began playing in an exclusive restaurant. However, earlier, at the age of 12, Jason made his first home piano recordings and went door to door in his neigborhood, selling his cassette tapes.
When Jason was 16 he started touring throughout California and this would last for nearly two years.
Then he settled down in a small two storey ocean-side house in Northern California and here he created some of his most inspired works. Around the corner stood the local jazz and coffee house. This is the place where Jason would play quite often for the next couple of years. Within three years Jason managed to put together 3 more albums, making a total of seven publications by the age of 18. He also gave over two hundred concerts during that period.
At 21 Jason made his way to Europe . He is currently living somewhere in Switzerland and continues to bring his music into the world from wherever he is.
