What Does It Take

Written By: Jason Waddell

How many years have gone by
Since I last saw you
How many times have I tried
Since you stole my heart away
How many times have I tried to
Move on……without
Nothing to fear
Like it’s all in the clear, but I’ll
Never forget
The Look in your eyes that night

So many roads have been crossed
So many seasons
I think of you and I’m lost
I’m spinning like a hurricane
Somebody show me the door
To walk through
That will leave love behind
That will make my heart blind
Can I ever forget
The times that you made
me smile

What does it take to forget love
Is this a battle never won
Tell me what it takes to forget love
What does it take to forget love
Is there a path I have not gone
Tell me what it takes to forget love

With every breath that I take
I see a vision
And all the sounds of my soul
Seem to pour out like a waterfall
Is this a pain that will slow
Or will I try
To wipe all the memories
Set my poor mind at ease
Can I ever move on
Will the sun ever shine again

What does it take to forget love
Is this a battle never won
Tell me what it takes to forget love
What does it take to forget love
Is there a path I have not gone
Tell me what it takes to forget love
