Jason Walker is on top of the world being recently nominated for this years’ IDMA award for Best House/Garage Track, “Can’t Stop” with renowned DJ/producer, Quentin Harris.
“Can’t Stop” released in October 2008 on the legendary Strictly Rhythm Records, featuring Jason Walker on vocals, has been a dance floor favorite for the past few months, being hammered out in clubs across the world, by the likes of Pete Tong, Hector Romero, Martijn ten Velden and Dave Lee aka Joey Negro to name a few.
Joey Negro, Groove Assassin, Daddy's Groove and Quentin Harris have all contributed their remix versions of “Can’t Stop” all of which are in popular demand. Also to follow is Jason Walker’s new music video featuring “Can’t Stop” which is due for airing in March 2009. The track is featured on both Jason Walker’s artist album, “Flexible” and Quentin Harris’ album “No Politics”. “Can’t Stop” has also remained at #1 in the Traxsource Top 10 for 3 weeks, and has remained in the Top 100 for 3 months. After this dance floor smash, there’s no doubt we’ll be seeing Jason Walker and Quentin Harris collaborating together on future hits.
Jason Walker, a Pittsburgh native, can only be described as a beautifully packaged human being, with a gigantic voice bursting with the sounds of George Michael and Michael Jackson, and the soul of the divas who have influenced him, Chaka Kahn, Patti LaBelle and Aretha Franklin. In 2004 legendary dance music producer Junior Vasquez scouted Walker and immediately signed the young powerhouse vocalist to his label, Junior Vazquez Music. Prior to its 2005 release, Walker’s debut album, “This is My Life”, had already charted three Billboard Club Play hits, with two consecutive Billboard #1’s with “Foolish Mind Games” and “Set It Free”.
In 2008, Jason released his follow up album "Flexible", (at which Billie Myers wrote the single "Flexible"), also on the album chart toppers, "Foolish Lover" "This Time Baby" "101" (a Sheena Easton cover) and "Superstar" a down-tempo R&B track with producer pal Quentin Harris.
Quite simply, Jason Walker has an uncanny ability to belt out anthems, and his work clearly showcases his talent. His music is poised to crossover to the mainstream, with continued work with Quentin Harris, as well as Lenny Fontana, Bad Boy Bill, Havanafunk, and DJ Strobe. Today, people seem to follow the latest trends, whereas Jason Walker continues to deliver a unique collection of work keeping true to his roots. Jason Walker is clearly one of the most exciting voices of dance music today!
