""A Hit Songwriter in the Making""

Jason Waters takes time to create unique original music with a mature and signature pop approach. This young musician’s sensibilities seem much deeper than the “story song” style of modern songwriting.

These songs reveal a genuinely romantic heart, a rarity to reveal in pop music these days... a hit songwriter in the making

Completely accessible and original, Jason Waters has completed an EP that sounds major label ready in both performance and sonic quality. It should be interesting to see what the future holds for this charismatic young area musician. - Good Times Magazine - Syl Nathan

"Wildy's World - "See This Through EP" Review"

Waters writes and plays with a style that, shows a greater depth than generally found on top-40 radio. Waters' easy vocal style is reminiscent of Tom Petty or later Springsteen, though his voice is his own. Opening with "Late Night Telephone", Waters rocks out with a song of hopeful support. The high-energy chorus is infectious, and the message is one to the heart. Waters shows off a bit more of his 1980's guitar rock muscle on "Ready To Fly", a solid, upbeat rock that's pleasing to the ear. Digging into the emotional depths, Waters finds "Honey Lips", a mid-tempo singer/songwriter style story-song. This mild tale is a solid album track" - Wildy's World

"Lucid Culture - "See This Through EP" Review"

"See This Through EP" - yet another good example of new, accessible rock that hasn’t been dumbed down to appeal to corporate radio or the bankruptcy-bound major labels" - Lucid Culture

Bio

There's something undeniably sincere about the way Jason Waters sings to you. Whether he's crooning a tenderhearted ballad or belting out a rock song, his goal always remains the same: make you feel the music! And not just feel in the way of wanting to get up and groove but to touch upon something deeper and more genuine in the heart of his listener.

Emerging as a promising songwriter on the NYC music scene in 2005, Waters has brought forth his debut release, "See This Through", evoking an electrifying contemporary Americana-rock sound with influences ranging from Johnny Cash, Tom Petty, Bruce Springsteen and Ray LaMontagne.

Teaming up with producer Jim Sabella (Marcy Playground, Nine Days), Mike Mulieri (The Upwelling) and world-renowned drummer Steve Holley (Paul McCartney and The Wings, Ian Hunter, Robert Plant), “See This Through” has been praised by the press and fans alike, “Waters writes and plays with a style that, shows a greater depth than generally found on top-40 radio… Waters' easy vocal style is reminiscent of Tom Petty or later Springsteen, though his voice is his own… his message is one at heart.” (Wildy’s World)

Waters has garnered the support of local and college radio stations throughout the country from WIOX (Roxbury, NY), WNYC (NYC) to KALX in (Berkeley, CA). He continues to tour in support of the EP throughout the Northeast and West Coast and is a must-see live act, playing at many notable venues such as The Bitter End (NYC), The National Underground (NYC), Le Poisson Rouge (NYC), Café Allegro (Seattle, WA) and the Brainwash Café (San Francisco, CA), with more upcoming 2012 dates at WNYC’s The Greene Space (NYC), The Bluebird Café (Nashville, TN) and Birdsall House (Peekskill, NY).
