Bio
Jason Wells has been playing guitar for many years, in several bands, and various music endeavors. Jason's style is formed from a wide variety of influences all across the musical spectrum. Musicians like, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimi Hendrix, and Ted Nugent are a few of his foundational influences. Rich Mullins, Phil Keaggy, and Third Day are some of his favorites today. If you were to gather these styles in one package you would come close to describing the sound of Jason Wells. Jason continues to amaze audiences with all the music that he gets from one acoustic guitar. With his songs that sing about life's struggles and victories combined with talented guitar work, you will know there is something differant about Jason and his music.
Jason grew up with his father and step-mother. There was not a very loving relationship btween him and his step-mother and basically Jason was banished to his room whenever he was home. Jason took advantage of this time to learn to play guitar ( even though his step-mom hated it). Jason started playing the electric guitar without an amp because it was too loud. As a matter of fact the guitar itself was too loud for his step-mom who was downstairs. Despite the struggles of the situation Jason managed to stick with his musical desire and now has been playing for 16 years.
