Where the 5 Freeway meets the 118, in the heart of Los Angeles’ famous San Fernando Valley, a star looms as large as the sun that rises over the Hollywood Hills. As hip hop rose to prominence throughout the 80s and 90s, the West Coast became known for the iconic Compton, Long Beach, Inglewood, and South Central. The late 90s and 2000s decade saw an expansion into San Bernardino, Riverside, and Palmdale. One area has gone largely unnoticed: The Valley. Home to 6 million residents, a myriad of multi-culturalism, vibrant stories have gone untold. A region big enough to be the 3rd largest city in the US, has remained unheard, hidden in the shadows cast by the Santa Monica Mountains. Until now.

His name is Jasson C. His aim is for the crown and armed with the skill, dedication, and street sense unique to his Pacoima roots, he won’t settle for less. With the weight of The Valley’s forgotten struggles on his shoulders, his pursuit of perfection fuels him. Ten years of freestyles, of recordings, of writing and rewriting verses, ten years of honing his craft have culminated in one powerfully complete MC. His victory won’t be easy.
