Unfettered by styles or dogmas, the pianist JAUME VILASECA confirms his broad outlook on jazz with a project based on the early years of the progressive rock group GENESIS, from the album Trespass (1970) to the famous The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway (1974). - 3D3
Quite a surprise! A lot of the numbers they go over are real masterpieces in my opinion, which I never dreamed could sound so good with a jazz treatment, and in some cases with Latin American or even almost flamenco rhythms. Those of us whose heart is torn between jazz and the rock of Genesis, King Crimson, Yes, etc. are in luck. Under the reign of flamenco-jazz, which is also superb in our country, what they've done is risky. Thanks a million.
