Classical violinist turned Latin singer/songwriter meets a Romantic version of Goat Rodeo Sessions.

Biography

This Austin based band is the brainchild of Javier Chaparro, a virtuoso violinist turned singer/songwriter. The music is a romantically blended mix of Latin American genres with jazz and Americana influences. With bandmates Paul Glasse (mandolin) Mitch Watkins (guitar) Stephen Jarrard (guitarron) and Laura Mordecai (percussion) the music is infectious to say the least, Sald's live performances are pure joy. Their debut CD, Tyo, is available February 13th, 2012.

A native of Lima, Peru, Javier Chaparro began his formal study of violin at the National Conservatory in Lima.
