Bio

Giles and Simon are the driving force behind Jawbone, an alternative-country band with an edge, based in London and Bournemouth (Giles's home town). Over the last two years they've been recording material in their home studio and recently recorded a 17 track live session at the former SARM East studios with just a single guitar overdub (on Bubble). Having played at Standon Calling, Dingwalls, Islington Academy and smaller venues like the Dublin Castle, they really found their niche, going down a storm playing a 3 night residency at What's Cookin' - one of the main Americana nights in London. They're invited back to play there again and at the What's Cookin festival in July.

Currently self-managed and self-releasing, Jawbone are looking to take the next step and bring in management to help in their quest to widen their audience and broaden their already growing fanbase.

What sets them apart is that their music doesn't sound "like" anyone else, they aren't the "new...." anything - they sound like Jawbone. They're a really tight 3 piece with great harmonies, some fantastic song writing and a complete absence of "filler" material. From the introspection of Rubbish & Junk to the raucous bar-room rumble of 21 to the slightly psychotic Orange Juice to the fairport and Jethro Tull-influenced folk rock of James Dean to the country folk of The Thing to the sunny optimism of Looking Up, they sound like they'd be a great live band - which of course they are :)

"Your new favourite band" is how they describe themselves on Reverbnation. It's a bold boast and one they fulfil with ease.
