Bio

Jacqueline "Jaxx" Nassar is a 22 year old singer, songwriter, and musician from Clarksdale, Mississippi. Her music career began at the age of seven, when she learned to play the drums. By eight Jaxx picked up the guitar and it is now her main instrument. somewhere in between she managed to learn to play bass and keyboard. Jaxx has proven to be very versatile, playing original rock songs as well as just about anything you ask her to play.

Jaxx graduated from the Arts and Education Program at the Delta Blues Museum in 2000 as Most Outstanding Student. While with the band "Blues Prodigy", she won the W. C. Handy Kids Foundation Award at age 9. Jaxx was also chosen to receive the first Robert Johnson Award for Youth Excellence which was presented to her by Morgan Freeman and Steve Johnson (Robert Johnson's grandson) at the age kof 13.

Jaxx was honored to be the youngest blues artist to be cast by Sharon McConnell to be in bronze, which is on display at Delta State University along with other blues greats like Pinetop Perkins.

Weaned off of the blues by her love for Rock and Roll, Jaxx's lyrics speak of things she has experienced in her own live. "Window" is a song written at the age of nine, which was featured in a Lonelygirl15 youtube episode "House Arrest". "If I could Fly" was used in the movie "Remember the Daze" (The Beautiful Ordinary) in 2008.

Jaxx has opened for Blues great B. B. King, country artist Rebecca Lynn Howard, and Phil Vassar. She has also played and written with Steve Azar and jammed with Paul Simon. Jaxx was asked to do vocals on a safety CD done by Delta State University titled "Snappy the Turtle" .

Jaxx also appeared in an episode with Nick Simmons in the Gene Simmons Family Jewels Show in May 2009.
