The rapper who has never stopped making music, despite the hardships of life has recently released his new album Uprise

Jay Childs, aka Justin Childress, is a rapper who has never stopped making music, despite the hardships of life.

His mother died of heroin overdose while Jay was preparing for rehabilitation after the three weeks of medically-induced coma he had been placed in because of a car accident that had him flatline three times.

Jay had started making music at the age of 9, finding his strongest inspiration in the loss of his younger brother, who died at the tender age of 8 months. Not finding a way to express his pain through words, Jay began to express his feelings through music.

In his troubled adolescence Jay had to face many struggles. At 15, he was already helping pay household bills by selling the music he had learned to produce and sell on his own. And even after signing a bogus contract with the label that released his first album "Childress Manor", Jay did not give up. Having cut ties with the label, he continued on his way.

Jay Childs uses his lyrics as a vehicle for personal expression, with his songs becoming the perfect tool to share his story and message. In spite of his experiences, his musical delivery is centered on spreading positive messages about self-confidence and being strong in the face of any type of adversity.

Declared a rock star by his mother, Jay still vividly carries her spirit and memory with him, in a bond that has guided him throughout his life journey.

Since his first record deal, Jay has released five mixtapes, increased his audience in the Southern US, and signed a new record deal with Genetix Recordings, with which he recently released the album titled "Uprise".

Through the traumas of his story, with "Uprise" Jay Childs continues to transmit his message of perseverance against the difficulties of life, finding in this his uniqueness and at the same time a strong and profound source of artistic inspiration.

Among the 10 tracks that make up "Uprise", the song titled "That's What I Like" stands out without a shadow of a doubt, a captivating number through which, incorporating a bit of his history, Jay offers us a genuine representation of who he is.

The release of "Uprise" marks an important point in Jay Childs' recording career, projecting him toward a brighter future. - Gabriele - Nova Music blog
