Southwest Philadelphia native Joshua "Jay Rivers" does it like no other. Combining his crafty sense of writing, street smarts, and political savviness, Jay crafts hit after hit, with the lyrical content of his music lacking nothing, other than disrespectful lyrics, explicitness, and ignorance. A two-time author, ghostwriter, and lyricist, Jay prides himself on telling his version of the world from the eyes of kid, once born into poverty and an environment of drugs and street crime. After dropping his first solo project, "Enigma: Genesis", Jay has been performing all over the country, rocking shows and inspiring people of all walks of life to push past their limits. He has performed for Power 105.1 (New York), at the Slyvan Theater at the National Monument (Washington D.C.), and plenty other venues and shows.
When asked what is his vision for music, the message is quite clear; "I just want to shock and inspire the world. I want to be the Will Smith of my generation."
