Bio
In the beginning there was John Lennon & Paul McCartney. Mick Jagger & Keith Richards. Robert Plant & Jimmy Page. Donald Fagen and Walter Becker. Elton John & Bernie Taupin. Steven Tyler & Joe Perry. Bono & The Edge......... And soon you'll be adding the newest songwriting duo of George Adrian & Chad Von Haden to that list.
George Adrian was raised on the streets of Chicago. Started playing Piano at the age of 7 but had a revelation at 12 when he heard the Black Sabbath song "Heaven And Hell", Or more to the point, Tommy Iommi's brutal and haunting Solo. "It was like a lightning bolt hit me in the head, I knew I had to play guitar like that".
Chad Von Haden spent his youth in Savanna Ill, a few hours drive from Chicago. Raised on the sounds of the Beatles, The Guess Who, the Eagles, Pink Floyd Etc, Chad soon found his own in the comforting arms of Alice Cooper, KISS, Cheap Trick and AC/DC.
George and Chad went to their very first Rock show in Chicago. Same night. Same event, but fate wasn't to have them meet until years and over 2000 miles later.
George and Chad met three years ago and formed a instant, albeit, unlikely bond...They also found they shared a love of writing, Recording and leaving great songs behind.
After a stint of writing they recruit Drummer extrordinaire Edward Shemansky, Bass scientist Johnny Martin and Guitar wonderment Mark Tremalgia and record Debut JAY album a year later.
JAY play assorted shows in 2005 including a stint at the House Of Blues, Headlining a July 4th Fest in Utah and opening for Eddie Money.
One of the first things people notice is the difference between the sight and sound of JAY. The band is as visually exciting and eccletic, on stage and off, as their sound.
Presently George and Chad have Signed with Hunt Management and have written a batch of new songs and are recording the follow up album "Medulla Oblongata" due Mid Summer, 2006.
The Future: leaving behind songs & music that will stand the test of time.
