Jay Cobain

As a youth growing up in the South Bay area of San Diego, California, Jacob Ramirez Aka Jay Cobain began rapping in middle school after listening to Eminem’s 3rd album “The Eminem show”. As a fan of hip hop since the age of 9, He always wanted to be part of the culture somehow. After many attempts to get established as a rapper, something was always happening that put it on hold. Getting into trouble and his love for graffiti led Jacob to do numerous stints in juvenile hall and county jail, In that time he decided to take music more serious as a way of getting his head straight. Building up his catalog of music between 2008 and 2010, he started performing with the other acts opening up for major artists. After a criminal conviction that landed him in jail for a few months, He got tired of the life he was living, and decided to work on his musical career only. Building up his vocabulary and practicing his word play led him to making better music than before. Jacob is currently building his imprint " Lost Hopes" and Working on his Mixtape "High Expectations"
