"Stir Fry Fest revue"

"There were a lot of great people at the Stir Fry Music Revival ... but one of the nicest was Jay D Clark.... That is exactly what is delivered. The music has a smooth reggae flavor with lyrics that make you think." - Daniel Brouse - Kingarthur.com

"well worth the trip"

"Jay D Clark is hosting an open mic night tonight at the Edge Hill Tavern out in Glenside.... We know it may be a bit far for some of you, but if Jay D Clark decides to play a few tunes, it’ll be worth the trip." - Philanthem.com

"Philly's Jay D Clark aims to sample Local Flavor with first tour"

"Most musicians will tell you that every time they step on stage they feel like they’re starting a new adventure. This feeling of freshness is more like a fact of life for up-and-coming roots/reggae/rock artist Jay D Clark. The Philadelphia native... is set to play more than a dozen dates, each time performing in a new city with a different band backing him up. " - Chris Mowder - Listen Up Myrtle Beach

"Philly reggae artist climbing up the Treehouse ladder"

"Jay D Clark is heading south to team up with local act Treehouse for a roots reggae/funk jam designed to inspire hot Caribbean vibes, and a chilled out night of thinking man's music - both acts have plenty to say if you listen closely. " - Paul Grimshaw - The Surge (Myrtle Beach News)

"Press from Malaysia"

"Jay D Clark's style is really unique... infusing all that is traditional and inventive in one package... the Philly sound and Jay D Clark simply takes it up a notch... he always has this sensible personality... no one artist that holds any style close to his, he is that outstanding..."
- Jonathan Olivier, Evol (Malaysia)

"rock and roll prophet"

"In 1982, I saw B. F. Skinner give his pessimistic 'Why are we not acting to save the world?' speech about the likely failure of our technology of behavior to stop disaster scenarios from prevailing. At the macro level, I find Clark to be a rock and roll prophet of our time." - Media Bureau - Dr. Richard Weissman

Bio

Philadelphia-based singer-songwriter Jay D Clark and his band play catchy originals mixed with some fun covers suitable for any crowd to relax and vibe or dance to. The core band now consists of 4-5 professional musicians but they also perform solo/duo/trio up to a 10-piece big band with a sizable, select group of players.
The band performed hundreds of shows the past few years on the east coast of the USA from House of Blues in Myrtle Beach, SC, The Borgata Resort Casino, Bally's Casino, Harrah's Casino and the AC Beer Festival in Atlantic City, NJ, to the Mann Music Center main stage in Philadelphia, PA opening for Ziggy Marley, Beres Hammond, Capleton, Sizzla, Culture and other reggae legends at Reggae in the Park.

Jay D Clark has toured since 2010, playing with dozens of thriving bands like Treehouse (Myrtle Beach, SC), Sun-Dried Vibes (Rock Hill, SC), Of Good Nature (Charlotte, NC), Resinated (St Petersburg, FL) and dozens more as his backing bands for shows.

Jay D Clark also opened for established acts like Rebelution, Sublime with Rome, Dirty Heads, SOJA, Matisyahu, Collie Buddz and more at sold out shows.

Jay D Clark has two full records - Fall of the City and Intelligent Design - which both have featured on college, internet and worldwide syndicated radio programming. We have been working on some great new material.
