Jayden

Born July 21, 1990 Lawrence Douglas Marr III also known as “Jayden” was raised in Washington, DC. He was brought up by his godfather & godmother, Harry & Rosanna Thomas directly beside his church. His love for music grew while in church. He developed a love for music there but eventually looked to fulfill his passion else where after the death of his Godmother. At the of age 12, he began rapping with his friend Delonte. While he wasn’t familiar to the rap game, Delonte helped him out by introducing him to Hip hop through bringing him Hip Hop magazines & CDs by prominent rap artist. At Spingarn SHS, Jayden discovered and developed his passion for music. His talents varied. He learned he had a natural talent for not only for rapping, but also for dancing & singing. Jayden was molded as a musician by Spingarn SHS choir director Reverend Charles Alston. Thanks to many supporters and mentors, Jayden became & still becoming a great musician. His influences include Lil Wayne, Eminem, Jay z, Kanye West, N.E.R.D. ,Talib Kweli, Lauren Hill, Biggie Smalls, Tupac Shakur, Cassidy, Reed Dollaz, and Nelly, to name a few. He was inspired most by the late Michael Jackson, of which he developed his style of dancing and respect for originality. Jayden has respect for the entire Hip hop movement and looks forward putting his touch on its history.
