Bio

Young, talented, and driven are three of the many characteristics that promise Jay Dundas a very bright future in the music industry. Jay Dundas was born in New Orleans, LA on August 15, 1987. He began performing at the tender age of three. By the age of eight he was already writing his own songs, and recording them on his karaoke machine. When he was ten years old his family decided to move to East Atlanta where he currently resides. Now in a bigger city, it wouldn’t be long before Jay would get his first recording studio experience. At 14, he went into a professional studio for the first time and recorded his first two songs. He instantly fell in love with the process of recording. When he wasn’t in the studio recording he occupied his time with performing in several local talent shows and competitions. In 2006 he got his first major label placement with Universal Latin artist Adassa. In 2007 he decided to pursue music as a serious career and attend college to major in music business. It was during that time he met his production team MVP (Hitman Beatz & Monstarr) and recorded over 100 songs. After giving an excellent performance at a Slip N Slide Records artist showcase he was invited by Executive A&R Musa Adeoye to go to Miami and present his music. His music represents the story of the average youth in America trying to find their own way of doing things, and the trials and tribulations that come along with it. Recently he’s been working with artist development consultant Marvin McIntyre of Marvelous Enterprises perfecting his craft and participating in songwriting and production. He’s currently working independently on his debut album “The Black Bond”.
