Matt may be in the classroom five days a week, but on-going recording projects with vocalist Jaye Drew as well as Morgan, Fogg, and Grimmett (an original group which recently released a CD) might make him a star one day. “All the things I do are an attempt to get out there and be known, and get my stuff heard,” he says. Also a member of Jaye Drew and A Moving Train, a hip hop/funk band, Fogg says the band is “five different people with different backgrounds coming together to create an original sound.” A CD is in the works for this group as well. The pianist continues to educate at the Lyman Moore Middle School in Portland, Maine, where Fogg is the Music Education/Choral Music Director. He is also a member of the band Jaye Drew and A Moving Train, and the group is currently working on its rock-funk debut. - Jazz Times

Bio
Jaye Drew is a veteran songwriter and vocalist from the Portland area. She has drawn comparisons to Fiona Apple, Lauren Hill and Dionne Warwick to name a few, and has garnered praise by some of the best in the business. Jaye is backed up by the Moving Train band, a handpicked group of some of Maines top music professionals, who are collectively versed in a number of styles including hip hop, rock, funk, blues, jazz, reggae and latin music. The result is a show like no other, incorporating a mix of unique and soulful originals, stylish covers and high-energy rearrangements of old favorites. Moving Trains professionalism combined with its fun-loving approach to music guarantees to bring a crowd to its feet and put a smile on every face.
Since forming in July of 2006, Jaye and Co. have been busy rehearsing and writing music. They have completed there first full-length studio album, due to be released in late 2008. The album features New York City producer Mark Zuppe who has worked with artist such a Alicia Key's and Aerosmith. The album also features the very talented keyboardist Matt Fogg. Jaye and Co. have already established a large fan-base thanks primarily to word-of-mouth advertising and myspace, where they have amassed a large following.
As the buzz spreads even farther and the album release nears the Moving Train continues to pick up speed. They pack the shows they play now and are moving full steam ahead. Jaye Drew and a Moving Train are currently booking through the summer and fall around Maine and New England and would like to add their high-energy show to your venue soon!
