Jay Faircloth

Although he spent his first years in rural southwest Georgia, Jay was also raised in Florida, Alabama and Arizona. Several years after his return to Athens, GA Jay began his music career at just 20 years old. However, it’s been these last few years he has able to really explore his talent and clarify his style.

Due to a devoted fan base that stretches over decades & distance, Jay has been featured on both KTEX in Brenham, TX and KIIM in Tucson, AZ. On average, Jay plays 4 nights a week at a variety of restaurants and bars in the Tucson area. In addition to his regular gigs at Sakura Teppan, Cowpony, The Bashful Bandit and The Irish Pub, Jay also finds himself to be a frequent request at community events and private parties.

In addition to his music schedule, Jay is a candidate for a PhD in Reproductive Physiology from the University of Arizona here in Tucson (he has already achieved a Master's in the same field as well as a BS in Agricultural Economics). In 2002, Jay joined the staff at Al-Marah Arabians where he is now the Assistant Farm Manager, the Breeding Manager and the Apprentice Coordinator. For the last several years, he has also been teaching Biology through Pima Community College. Jay lives on-site at Al-Marah with his family.
