JayFontaine is an artist by way of Newark, NJ(Brick City), who delivers hip-hop for your soul through his barrage of lyrical metaphors and creativity. He has been rapping and songwriting since the age of 13. He has performed from street corners to studios to numerous stages. Coming up he never had much of anything. This pain can be felt throughout his lyrics as if it were your own. The term “hip hop for your soul” came about as JayFontaine’s tag because when you listen to his music you can’t not only just relate to one track or another you feel it in your soul. JayFontaine has recently released his first independent album TRIALS AND TRIBULATIONS. The album touches on many of his experiences as well as experiences he has witnessed throughout his life. From his mother raising four children on her own surviving on her love to relationships gone badly to losing someone close plus more. His influences are Jay Z and Tupac Shakur. With the right promotion and backing JayFontaine has the potential to take hip-hop to a state where it hasn’t been in years. Hip-hop needs an artist like this who is bringing more to the game than most rappers you see today. Not just focusing on drug dealing and killing, he focuses on all aspects of life.
