Jay Hansen is a young, electric performer on the verge of stardom. His blend of amazing melodies and powerful vocals will not be denied!

Biography

Jay Hansen is 20years old and a professional musician. It is a life most can’t begin to imagine. Most would think touring US colleges sounds like a dream come true. To kick off his recent Spring College tour Jay and his band played to a sold out Pepsico Hall on the campus of Marymount College. Hundreds of screaming fans stayed for hours after the show for a chance to take a picture with Jay and get his autograph. The next stop was Iona College. Jay played a solo acoustic show to a packed on campus coffeehouse, again signing autographs and taking pictures with enchanted fans. Seems like stardom is right around the corner…

Next Jay took a four hour drive to Utica College for another solo acoustic show at an on-campus pub. Two students showed up for the performance due to an on campus scheduling conflict. He made the drive home in a blizzard making the trip home take nearly 9 hours knowing he had to return to upstate NY to play Hartwick College in 2 short days. This is the up and down life an up and coming musician must endure. But it has proved to be a life where the rewards far outweigh the drawbacks.

Jay has become an established singer/songwriter, having his songs featured on the popular TV series Dawson’s Creek (twice); commercial radio stations WBAB 102.3 FM (NY), WEHM 96.7 FM (NY) and WLIR 92.7 FM (NY) and many other college and commercial radio stations. Jay’s music will also be featured on the upcoming seasons of MTV programs The Real World and Battle of the Sexes.

He recently finished recording his major debut album with 2 Time Grammy Award Winning Producer, John Rollo. Mr. Rollo has worked with industry superstars Eric Clapton, Whitney Houston, Wyclef Jean, and many others and says: “This is the best music I’ve had the pleasure to work on. Jay is destined for Rock Stardom.”

Lyrics

Honey

Written By: Jay Hansen

Verse:

I can take the elevator to your higher level of love
Let me get to know you better by now
Oh your lying on the table let me slip into your mouth
For our minds to share this high
Crying to the rain we fall all along this path we fall
Your lips just stick like glue to me your lips just taste like honey
sweet honey baby, yeah

Chorus:

Smoochie goochie I want honey so can you give it to me now
I can't wait no longer baby show me how
we can cry to the rain oh lord
but they would listen they just fall
They just fall again

Verse:

Oh my god I’ve finally found this one to
share my darkest deepest sweetest desires with you so
oh so honey wont you just let me lye down under your body now
over your body to night so
And the shadows form your footprints handprints little bit of your prints on my shoulder oh

Chorus:

Smoochie goochie I want honey so can you give it to me now
I can't wait no longer baby show me how
we can cry to the rain oh lord
but they would listen they just fall
They just fall again.

Verse:

I can taste this sweat it’s dripping
I can taste everything around
and the moon is shining brightly now, over my body now
you and I sharing in this magic night
. I can taste this sweetest taste this taste I taste it all over
Let me smell you let me drink your body down.

Chorus:

Smoochie goochie I want honey so can you give it to me now
I can't wait no longer baby show me how
we can cry to the rain oh lord, but they would listen they just fall
they just fall again. Fall again

Wounded Wings

Written By: Jay Hansen

Verse:

And now I’ve finally found out
that I did not have my fingers wrapped around you like I thought
and now I’ve finally
figured out that vie been chasing after you
all along this time through all this time
You’ve been just fine
moving on with your life
while I’m stuck writing these repetitive rhymes
nonsensical to life, in a crowded room of five
where no one is listening but you.

Chorus:

These wounded wings have wounded things to me
I'm gonna retrace and replace until you come back to me

Verse:

Well isn’t it strange the way things change
things they never seem to stay the same
no matter what the words you say to me
this autumn sky shall bring release
this fall has sunk into defeat
then winter spring then summer too
then shall retreat
it is so sad the way time goes
it is so sad to this distant road
that’s bringing us quicker now but further from our mold
Where is this time that fears?
Where is this time that feels the pain it feels to be without you?

Chorus:

These wounded wings have wounded things to me
I’m gonna retrace and replace until you come back to me.
Here is where you belong
and I fear my dear, you’re moving on.

Cause I’m almost tired of being my self out loud
and I’ve almost cried enough
but no one is letting me get back to great you
and if I die before the time this reaches your ears
and replaces your fears
With trust again trust again
and solace of my only reason for
living and loving and breathing
it all stays the same
no matter what the people here say
it all stays the same
Nothing ever really changes I say
It all stays the same for me
