From the streets of East London to a quiet idyllic setting of Portobello Beach in Edinburgh, Jaylaxx has come along way and his debut release, "High Tide EP" is a tribute to his new home and what has inspired him to create a very artistic piece of music. Known for remixing (check out his Little Dragon Vs Joker mashup below), his production style is consistent and very unique, drum patterns with similarities to dubstep and top end melodies with a housey edge. Jaylaxx started out life playing oldskool two step garage on 12" vinyl, his mixing style has elements of old skool beat matching from the 90's era.
He has played at some of the biggest clubs and events in Europe and has supported some of the UK's biggest talents including Wiley and Artful. Now based in Scotland, he is making a name for himself in new territory, taking on a new challenge and in on his way to becoming one of Scotland's household names in the world of turntablism.
Now producing his own material, his first EP is due for release March 2013 giving people the opportunity to hear his take on new age garage.
With a few remixes creating waves across the scene already his EP is set to deliver.
