Biography

Jay Malone is Canadian born comedian who has appeared at numerous comedy festivals including Just for Laughs, the worldÂ’s largest comedy festival, where he won the prestigious Homegrown competition in 2004. He then returned and shot a Gala the very next year making him the only comedian to do that. He has also appeared on various Canadian television shows including Comedy Inc, Popcultured, Toronto One, Off the Record, The Halifax Comedy Fest (2003-2005) and has starred in his own nationally televised, hour long comedy special "Comedy Now" (CTV, Comedy Network) which was chosen as the 100th episode of the series. In 2005 he was nominated as the "Best Male Standup" at the Canadian Comedy Awards.

Jay has since moved to Los Angeles where he now resides, but continues to tour both Canada and the US with his act. His style is both clean and cerebral but is infused with an edge and energy that makes him accessible to any demographic. In addition to standup Jay has also written for numerous television shows in Canada and is an accomplished cartoonist.
