Jayrene'

One makes assumptions based on what they see. But, mere looks alone would not be sufficient in categorizing the immense vocal ability of Ms. JayRene. For one so small in stature, her voice is of epic proportion. Brooklyn born, and Long island raised, Ms. JayRene' s introduction is long over-due. Her musical inclination was debuted to the world in her performance as Young Nala in the original cast of the Broadway Musical "The Lion King" in 1997. Since then, Jayrene' has done several features on mixtapes from other up and coming artists such as Tone Def, Shap P and Steadyhouse; as well as her cover features on youtube. Jayrene' has done several open mic performances ranging from jazz revenues to an abundant amount of underground rap clubs. Living by her daily montra "I just want to sing" JayRene' states that as long as she has a mic in her hand and is on a stage, that her dream has already come true. Her true goal in her career is to touch the lives of many with her wide range of vocal capabilities. When asked what her vocal influences were, she claimed that her father was truly an inspiration on her voice. As far as singers in the industry, Jayrene' remains inspired by artists such as Lauryn Hill, Paramore, Jazmine Sullivan, Evanescense, Mary J blidge, and Vivian Green. Though JayRene hasn't released a studio album yet, she can be found touring and doing live shows on a regular basis. In addition to touring, JayRene’ has found comfort in executive producing and composing all of her lyrics on her own project. Her upcoming EP entitled “Jus Jayrene” is scheduled to drop by Summer of 2011. Please stay tuned for what this young lady has in store.
