JaySelf

JaySelf is from Chicagos south side in what's known as "The Wild Hundreds. He quickly developed a love for hosting parties, club events, & filming television commercials. Trying to escape tragedy, humiliation & turmoil, JaySelf grabbed the microphone when an act he booked couldnt perform. He went on stage and began to freestyle to live band totally shocking his audience & himself. JaySelf entered a contest to test his skills against other big named local celebrities. The trophy now sits in his studio, which he calls The Kitchen.

JaySelf now has 3 albums & 2 mix-tapes in his repertoire. He's toured with and opened shows for, Busta Rhymes, Mystical, Elephant Man, Eve, Jay Z after party and many others to come. His 2012 mixtape release "I THINK I'M MIKE LOWREY", realeased April 2,2012, has accomplished internet, college, & terrestrial radio play with numerous streams & downloads from jayself.com, datpiffmixtapes.com & Coast2Coastmixtapes.com. In 2012 JaySelf started an independent label called Block to Broadway Film & Music Group. JaySelf is also currently working on his new mini movie series called "I Think I'm Mike Lowrey", which is part comedy and part rags to riches love story. His mini movie series along with his new single At That Bread was released in summer 2013.

JaySelf & and his label Block 2 Broadway along with  Hip Hop Networkin inc., a promotions and marketing firm, has launched nationwide radio & social media campaigns. JaySelf will perform at every venue in the southern & midwest regions, creating a massive movement that will promote his forthcoming albums making his releases highly anticipated!
