"F*****g great songs. (An uncensored version of this review is available on request.) - Self
Supporting Guy Davis was Jay Stapley .... the music started to work its magic and the more I heard it, the more I liked it.
Jay has a most pleasant voice and ability to use the guitar to great effect, which is not surprising because Jay once held the position of guitarist in Roger Waters’ (Late of Pink Floyd) Bleeding Heart Band. Knowing that Roger is a discerning musician, it’s not surprising that Jay was employed. I saw them once at the Docklands Arena and they were superb and I remember acknowledging that the lead guitarist, none other than Jay Stapley, was particularly stunning. I would certainly like to hear more. - Acoustic sussex
Jay performed a front-room concert for my Birthday... it was the best birthday present I ever had! - Steph Riddle
Jay Stapley demanded quiet and got it by wowing the audience with his technical ability and his witty, narrative songs. Delivered with aplomb and mid-song banter, he made it all look so easy. Which, of course, it isn't. - http://www.rock-til-you-drop-blog.com/2009/10/better-out-than-in-octobers-acoustic.html

After a hugely enjoyable and successful career as a session guitarist, I am now producing other artists, writing, and performing my own material.
My songs range from the reflective to the downright rocking, combining humour and intelligence with stunning guitar-playing (according to my publicist!)
I have worked with artists including Suede, Roger Waters, Scott Walker, Westernhagen, Michael Kamen, Oh Laura, Mike Oldfield, Athena Andreadis, Jeb Loy Nicols, David Allen Coe, David Mead, Henning Staerk, Lou Cowell, Shakin' Stevens, Kirsty McColl, Toyah wilcox, David McWilliams, Roger Chapman, and played on film and TV soundtracks including "Withnail and I", "Hale and Pace," "The Duty Men", "Whose Round is it Anyway?" and The Chuckle Brothers (my finest hour!)
