Jaystorm (Unplugged) consists of Jaystorm - Vocals & Bob “Zoot” James – Acoustic Guitar
Jaystorm is a Funk/Blues artist with an emphasis on Rock. With his high-energy stage performances and crowd interaction, Jaystorm has been performing consistently all throughout the southeast. Guitarist Robert James, Jr. (“Bob,” "Zoot") has been playing for many years and has toured overseas. Bob “Zoot” James is heavily influenced by the music of Stevie Wonder, The Isley Brothers, and Sting. Zoot’s favorites are Beethoven, Debussy, Ravel, Stravinsky, and Still. Zoot also became well-versed in other forms, such as rock, metal, blues, new age, house, go-go, latin, reggae, experimental, and microtonal music. Zoot’s strongest influences on his style of play are Hendrix, Van Halen, Allan Holdsworth, and Pat Metheny. Any or all of these influences can be heard at any time in a live performance wether it’s acoustic or electric.
The two artists utilize their versatility to create their own style of songs from the 70’ s 80’s 90’s and thereafter to bring you the best of smooth entertainment.
