"JAYWALKER REVIEW"

JAYWALKER

Jason Hicks used to front Central Coast band Field Day, who made the kind of music that in the current climate is getting indie artists like Lior plently of airplay and mainstream artists like Pete Murray well into the charts. Perhaps it'll be JAYWALKER that will help him break through. I hope so.
There's a certain subtle grace and intelligence in this collection of acoustic pop/rock songs, delivered with enough quiet passion to show Hicks cares not only about the craft but also about what he's singing, whether simple homilies about life and love or, on Insanity, shaking a polite fist at injustice.

"ZAN ROWE TRIPLE J REVIEW"

"Beautiful Day"
rating: 4/5

More roots than indie, this is a strong song with a chilled, rolling quality to it. Lots of sunshine goin' on here!
