Bio - HipHop Stardom 101 Magazine's "First Round Draft Pick" and Ourstage.com's Top 10 Urban Artist JayWheelz is set for superstardom very quickly.
He commands the microphone like a seasoned vet and has only been recording professionally for 2 years. This Pittsburgh artist/song writer has quickly emerged as a force headed into 2014.
This once super athlete has managed to silence the critics with every verse delivering thoughtful insight and incredible moxy with every story he tells. Born and raised in Mckeesport Pa, a small town outside of Pittsburgh,
JayWheelz grew up faster then he wanted. He came from nothing, but this hard working young kid had bigger dreams of getting out of the hard life, the right way. Struggling to find his way in a one bedroom apartment, it was Jay, younger sister, older brother, mother and father in Crawford Village projects.
Times was hard but the love was their. His father had a drinking problem and the cops were at the house often. Jay grew up with domestic abuse, so it became very clear that he would never disrespect any woman on any level. Big brother was into gangs, so naturally Jay wanted to follow. Big brother would never let Jay follow
and Jay turned to sports and friends. Over the years Jay became very good at sports and started to stand out. In 1994, Jay lost his mother to the same domestic violence and landed his father in prison for life, He took jay's mother's life and left Jay, little sister, older sister and older brother to live with grand parents.
Jay became very delinquent and had hard troubles. He was constantly running from the cops and in and out of cop cars. Grand parents had a hard time trying to help jay deal with the pain. Jay lucked out and found great friends that had similar interests, sports.
Jay quickly became one of the best athletes in the entire country, and in 2001 was titled "The number one athlete in the nation" and received over 100 Full Athletic Scholarships for Football, Track and Basketball. He ended up at UConn because of grades.
Very brief NFL career, free agent with the Washington Redskins. Very brief AFL career with Phiadelphia Soul, got hurt and never looked back on sports again. Jay turned to his very first love, ever, music. He battled and fought critics every day to show that sports is over and music is his calling.
JayWheelz linked with the super producer for Meek Mill and Gillie Da Kid, Ruggy. Their was an instant bond and JayWheelz quickly became a dominate artist recording in the legendary BatCave studio every week.
