Jazmin Zane

Jazmin Zane has been a musician for over 25 years, and has been songwriting for 11 years. Her style of music is a hybrid of Jaci Velasquez, Nichole Nordeman, and Vanessa Carlton. Jazmin describes her music as acoustic worship driven by a powerful, rich piano, and contemplative lyrics. Jazmin’s lyrics range from those found in classic worship ballads, to language describing struggles with faith and reaching out to God, with abandon, when broken. Jazmin’s music does not rest solely on chords, but aims to move people through a melodic piano, as well as through the lyrics. She attended a performing arts high school in San Francisco where she majored in voice, and has been an active member on several worship bands, including leading worship at her San Francisco church, Living Waters. Her songwriting was initially inspired by her aunt, who passed away in 1998. Her aunt was a successful social worker and who touched the lives of many women who were struggling with chronic diseases. This inspired Jazmin to reach people through her music, and she has been songwriting ever since. Jazmin lives in Los Angeles with her husband and two crazy cats.
