BandJazzJam

Jazzooo plays acoustic jazz with their own modern spin. This is uplifting stuff with strong melodies that surprise the listener. As individuals, the members have played with a Who's Who of jazz over the years. As a group, they push their talents to new levels on their CD Two Days in November.

Biography

"We draw from influences as diverse as Brahms, The Beatles, Pat Metheny, Bill Evans, Frank Zappa and John Scofield" says pianist and composer Doug Robinson, who learned the ins and outs of jazz while playing with bebop trombone legend Frank Rehak in the '70s. Doug's previous recordings include Plays Well With Others, featuring John Patitucci and Mike Stern, and SitJazzDown with Peter Erskine and Dave Carpenter.

Drummer Duncan Moore is San Diego's most in-demand player, backing a wide variety of players including Tom Scott, guitarist Peter Sprague, Ray Brown and Rickie Lee Jones.

Bassist Ken Dow appears on recordings with Peter Sprague, the 7th Day Buskers and LaTonya Lockett.

Lyrics

Everybody In The Whole Wide World

Written By: Michelle Abby

Everybody in the Whole Wide World

Everybody in the whole wide world,
Everybody's getting on their knees.
Everybody in the whole wide world,
Down on our knees and crying tears of joy,
tears of joy, tears of joy.
Everybody in the whole wide world
lay your burden down, beg to be forgiven now.
Everybody in the whole wide world
lost but now we're found, paradise is present now.
Everybody in the whole wide world
turn your life around, what was hard is easy now.
Everybody in the whole wide world,
knees upon the ground, answering to the very same call.

Everybody in the whole wide world,
everybody in the river of love.
Everybody in the whole wide world,
River of love and not afraid to cry
tears of joy, tears of joy.

Everybody in the whole wide world
lay your burden down, live and letting living now.
Everybody in the whole wide world
lost but now we're found, keeper of the brother now.
Everybody in the whole wide world
turn your life around, what was 'sleep is waking now.
Everybody in the whole wide world
knees upon the ground, answering to the very same call.

Everybody,
Every insurgent, exile, sovereign and slave.
Everybody,
every Magda, every Mohamed, every Moishe, every Bob.
Everybody,
We can find our way to freedom, I know it's hard to do.
Everybody, everybody in the whole wide world.

Knees upon the ground,
Answering to the very same call right now,
All of us at the very same time right now,
Nothing is more important than this.
