"Yoshi's"

"Hey Doug,

The CD just ended, and I REALLY LIKE IT!

I liked the arrangements, the soloing, and just the overall feel. It does indeed groove along.

Thanks a lot for sending it, it's really good. you should be proud."

Bio

"We draw from influences as diverse as Brahms, The Beatles, Pat Metheny, Bill Evans, Frank Zappa and John Scofield" says pianist and composer Doug Robinson, who learned the ins and outs of jazz while playing with bebop trombone legend Frank Rehak in the '70s. Doug's previous recordings include Plays Well With Others, featuring John Patitucci and Mike Stern, and SitJazzDown with Peter Erskine and Dave Carpenter.

Drummer Duncan Moore is San Diego's most in-demand player, backing a wide variety of players including Tom Scott, guitarist Peter Sprague, Ray Brown and Rickie Lee Jones.

Bassist Ken Dow appears on recordings with Peter Sprague, the 7th Day Buskers and LaTonya Lockett.
