Jazzukha performs original music that features strong improvisation as well as dynamic compositions. While the music is decidedly both modern and danceable the sound has been compared to that of Weather Report, Herbie Hancock, Pat Metheny and Jaco Pastorius.

Biography

Jazz-uk-ha (Jazz-ook’-ha) n. [[Russian Slang]] a bunch of guys fooling around with Jazz.

Blazing bassist Farko Dosumov, Uzbekistan born-now US Citizen, and Michael Gotz, Seattle Native and 30 year veteran of the Northwest music scene, combine their unique talents to create a compelling new sound.

Startling compositions, richly textured rhythms and a dynamic musical interplay form the basis of Jazzukha’s original style.

Augmented by the fluid creativity of Denali Williams on Drums, Jazzukha’s original music explores deep soulful grooves, danceable rhythms, fresh harmonies, and masterful musicianship.

While decidedly modern, Jazzukha’s sound has been likened to that of Weather Report, Pat Metheny, Jaco Pastorius, and Herbie Hancock.

Jazzukha performances feature a bold enthusiasm that never fails to satisfy.
