"Revolt"

Commonwealth State native JBdaPilot urges his uneasy love interest to stop fretting and simply trust him in his leaked single "Don't Worry." The production work gives you that trap-R&B vibe, some similarities to Bryson Tiller. But, JBdaPilot's unique vocals is what keeps this single distinct. - Erin Ashley Simon

"EarMilk"

I'm feeling extra fly today — cloud 10 ¾ fly — so I'm pitching ya'll some heat from JBdaPilot, a steezy emcee navigating the skies of the 757, an area code that fittingly evokes images of a commercial underground aircraft zooming through unsuspecting cumuli. The Virgina-bred aviator just dropped "Jerry Maguire," and the track is every-bit-as-dope as the iconic Tom Cruise romcom. For those who've seen said film, JBdaPilot's hook on "Jerry Maguire" will recall memories of Cuba Gooding Jr shouting, "SHOW ME THE MONEY!" The song is all about JB's ascension to greatness; and, understandably, the moolah that accompanies one's trip to the big time. While this may not sound like the most substantive concept, JB, feature Phil Adé, and producer Papamitrou deliver a unique sound soaked with passion and determination. It's clear that, to these three artists, money isn't merely a material object, but also a symbol of transcendence from the struggle. - Mark A. Gavigan

"The Source"

With flows reminiscent to an era of Hip-Hop that is nearly no longer, JBDaPilot is here to restore the feeling. He recruits Brooklynite rapper, Skyzoo, for a bit of lyrical sparring over the triumphant instrumental for their new collaboration. Both rappers remain true to the art as they Follow The Flow. Pay attention to braggadocios rhymes as both artists skate across the NYCE-produced track. This is Hip-Hop. Allow JBDaPilot and Skyzoo to remind you of that. - Khari

"HotNewHipHop"

Virginia Beach-bred JBdaPilot is currently prepping for his These Are Dark Times mixtape, scheduled for release some time later on in the year.

The last we heard of him was in last year's smooth "Don't Worry" single, and in a change of pace, the budding rapper and singer has dropped off the more uptempo "These Days" anthem with a little help from BJ The Chicago Kid.

In his string of releases, we've been treated to an exceptional view of the emerging talent's range, a quality that more than likely comes courtesy of his introduction to music as a multi-instrumentalist, honing skills on the piano, drums, saxophone, and trumpet before picking up the mic (after a listen to JAY-Z's Blueprint).

Be sure to give "These Days" a listen as we await These Are Dark Times' arrival. - Milca P.
