"J. Bizness Red Bull BIG TUNE Interview (OVAGROUND PRODUCER'S SPOTLIGHT)"

"As we continue on....I actually got a chance to catch this kid J. Bizness in a beat battle in West L.A. Dude was murkin' cats on the tracks and ended up winning the L.A leg of the battle.

And when I say murkin'....I had that smeared face like when you were a kid putting your face on the window in the back seat of a car with steam coming out of your nose the whole competition...lol. So, yeah...he's SUPER OFFICIAL."

"Talk Strange? What the hell is that?"

"... I have a few people that I think remain consistently dope on the beats, but have the ability to control the sound, effort and overall mood of any song they touch. I mean, there's nothing wrong with being just dope on the beats. But a producer does much more than that. I've said for years that J.Bizness is one the few people on beats that I see clearly as having a lane to be more, but, this isn't about him lol..."

Bio

J. Bizness is a father, producer, and songwriter from the suburbs of Southern California. As a child, his creative abilities were encouraged by his mother; who at the time had raised him and his younger sister by herself for many years. After moving to and from various cities in the greater Los Angeles area, his family decided to settle in the small city of Ontario; 50 miles east of Los Angeles. J. Bizness had been exposed to many different genres of music in his earlier years; but it wasn't until 1992 that he discovered his love for Hip-Hop music. Listening to artists ranging from The Fu-Schnickens to N.W.A. and OutKast gave J. Bizness an appreciation for the genre and its varying styles of many regions. During junior high school, J. Bizness was introduced to writing and producing thru the older brother of a friend. The influences of artists such as Souls of Mischief, Tha Dogg Pound, Ice Cube, and The Pharcyde allowed for J. Bizness to develop a unique duality to his own West Coast sound of production. During and after high school, he was able to further cultivate his skills by working with local crews and performing at many showcases and local venues. Between 2003 and 2004, J. Bizness completed a recording engineering program at the Los Angeles Recording School in Hollywood. He later went on to work part-time with an indie urban record label named Bombay Entertainment in 2004 as an assistant to Portland native producer Bosko. It was there that J. Bizness was given first hand insight on many music producing and recording techniques as well as useful tips on managing and maintaining an independent record label. After leaving Bombay Entertainment in 2005, J. Bizness went on to further pursue a career in recording engineering and music production thru a slew of different entertainment outlets. In 2006, J. Bizness was given the opportunity to have two of his tracks placed on the debut LP of West Covina native MC Trek Life. Since then, J. Bizness has continued perfecting his craft and his business savvy with the objective of securing music placements to further propel his sound and name to the ears of the listeners.
