Biography

Jonathon "Boogie" Long was born on September 15, 1988, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Jonathon received his first guitar at age 7 and one year later he started taking lessons at a local guitar shop and quickly found the Blues in his blood.

Known locally as a Blues Guitar protégé, Jonathon was noticed by local blues artist Dixie Rose. At age 10, Dixie Rose had Jonathon playing his guitar with her band all around Louisiana. Then, at the ripe age old age of 14, Jonathon took his guitar on the road with Henry Turner and the Flavor band. Jonathon toured nationally with Henry Turner and other acts until 2006, when he took his music to the next level and started his own band.

By starting his own band, Jonathon has had the opportunity to find his own sound. His original music is a mix of stinging guitar licks, howling vocals, and a soul only found in the blues. Jonathon has already been recognized by major players in the industry and has recently begun work on his first album.

Jonathon has played with many major Blues acts in Baton Rouge and around the United States, including: The Chris Duarte Group, Henry Turner (Reggae), Alan Haynes, Kenne Wayne, Kenny Neal, and Big Luther Kent.
