J Cannon - "JFK"

From an over saturated music industry lacking originality emerges a young talent that promises to refresh the copy and pasted music that flood our timelines and YouTube searches. He is J Cannon; and if you ask his team, The Aviation, the top isn't just a dream - its only a matter of time.

Cannon's work is defined by his unique ability to craft the energetic and excitingly lyrical verses he refers to as "blackouts" while tapping into a more profound and introspective artistry when it's necessary. His music keeps it passionately honest whether its about the darker moments of his struggle or his unique, fast paced lifestyle. "My team wiles out just like everyone else, maybe a little more, but we always have our vision on a goal that's larger than life." He is the product of a generation where the urban youth has more potential than ever, but is still fighting for its opportunity to be original and free of industry pollution. "I'll make money with or without A deal. I feel like God gave me this ability for a greater cause than record sales."

One wouldn't expect an artist with as much potential to hail from a small city such as Lexington, Ky but this has never once discouraged the young emcee. If anything, it has kept him humble and focused on his grind. Growing up, he claims to have been doing either one of three things; freestyle battling, reading or hustling. Although he is still growing, his music displays a broad perspective born from his time living in other places such as New York and South Carolina. But Cannon would much rather u hear these things than read them, so get to your nearest wi-fi connection and listen to what could possibly be the voice of a generation.
