My music comes from a natural part of me. It defines me as a person. It's warm, passionate, truthfull, honest, and as pure as I can be. My influences started at a very young age growing up next to a bar where they played music by Camilo Sesto,Julio Iglesias, Sandro, Leo Favio, Leo Dan,ect.. Moving to the states I was moved by Hip Hop legends as Rakim,Slick Rick and was captivaded by Michael Jackson. Later on I was introduced to Marvin Gaye, Nat king Cole, Ella Fitsgerald and of course Stevie Wonder.
After many years of discovering myself as a musician, I grasped the passionate sound of classical music and took lessons with two wonderfull teachers- Prof. Canton and Mr. Sanders.
Now I come to the world of bachata, a typical style of bolero created in my home town of Santiago, Dominican Republic. Bachata gave me a platform to step into the world of latin music. It made it easy for me to transcribe my r&b and pop songs into this tremendously evolving music rhythm and how comfortable it is to sing music from my own heritage and yet evolve it into my interpretations inspired by all these difrent types of influences that I had the privelege to consume.
