Born in Upstate NY, Jermaine JDoe Merchant caught an interest in hip hop at the early age of nine. With musical influences of the mentioned, Kriss Kross, Jay Z, Lil Wayne and Bow Wow, he is destined to be placed amongst his inspirers. Following the familiar talent show and school lunch battles, JDoe sparked the interest of young producer and CEO of Judgment Music Group (JMG) Pharaoh Future Paige. Under the shadows of the labels priority artist Toya, JDoe was forced to play the featuring artist role awaiting his possible chance at success. In 2006 he scored his big break when the label brought in an young R&B Javoun as a cross promotion project, yet being force to share a role of success. After releasing two successful mixtapes, and putting upstate NYs high schools in frenzy, the label felt it was time to push JDoe as a solo artist and main priority at JMG. The Young driven artist began production on his album in the first weeks of July, finishing the LP in a mere month! Now that the games open for first round drafts and trades, this player is bound to start his upcoming Hip Hop season with a bang. His determination and commitment to music will push him over the top.
