"Erik Aho"

“The thing that came to mind when I first heard Jeannette sing was a cello in the hands of a virtuoso - deep and sonorous in the low range and brilliant but with a unique richness in the upper ranges.”

- Composer

"Eric Lane Barnes"

"Jenny is one of those singers who takes a song and makes it her own. A lot of fun to work with, but even more fun to watch. She's got that kind of style that makes audiences holler when the song is done.”

- Associate Director, Seattle Men's Chorus

"Charles Baker"

"If voices were food, Jenny's would be dessert: sweet, rich and satisfying - the dish that everyone looks forward to. " - Composer

"Raimondo D'Ambrosio"

Bio

Jeannette d’Armand’s love of music was inspired at an early age by a family whose professional musical careers span three generations. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in drama from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and has since performed a varied body of work. In 2000, she sang as soloist in Cirque du Soleil’s Las Vegas production, "Mystère." Since moving to Seattle, she has appeared as guest artist with the Seattle Men’s Chorus, sharing the stage with Kristin Chenoweth; in Intiman Theatre’s annual smash hit, "Black Nativity"; with composer Amy Denio in the European tour of "Non Lo So, Polo"; in Seattle Opera’s "Turandot"; as a member of The Esoterics and in her own cabarets. She was recently chosen one of the top three finalists in The Duplex’s "Stars of Tomorrow" contest in New York and will be performing there in the coming year. In the Fall of 2005, she was seen in the 5th Avenue Theatre's productions of Sweeney Todd and Sound of Music, as well as their informal educational Spotlight Night series.

In addition to performing, she has been Master Artist in Voice for Experience Music Project’s Advanced Apprenticeship Program, teaching voice to young singers. She also teaches voice at a Seattle high school and conducts private lessons.
