Bio
Jeannette dArmands love of music was inspired at an early age by a family whose professional musical careers span three generations. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in drama from New York Universitys Tisch School of the Arts and has since performed a varied body of work. In 2000, she sang as soloist in Cirque du Soleils Las Vegas production, "Mystère." Since moving to Seattle, she has appeared as guest artist with the Seattle Mens Chorus, sharing the stage with Kristin Chenoweth; in Intiman Theatres annual smash hit, "Black Nativity"; with composer Amy Denio in the European tour of "Non Lo So, Polo"; in Seattle Operas "Turandot"; as a member of The Esoterics and in her own cabarets. She was recently chosen one of the top three finalists in The Duplexs "Stars of Tomorrow" contest in New York and will be performing there in the coming year. In the Fall of 2005, she was seen in the 5th Avenue Theatre's productions of Sweeney Todd and Sound of Music, as well as their informal educational Spotlight Night series.
In addition to performing, she has been Master Artist in Voice for Experience Music Projects Advanced Apprenticeship Program, teaching voice to young singers. She also teaches voice at a Seattle high school and conducts private lessons.
